Hi There!

I’m Mike, and I enjoy bringing delicious cuisine from around the globe right to your very own table.

 

I was born in east Tennessee, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Growing up, food was pretty simple and didn’t stray far from basic meat and potato meals. The lack of diversity and options for life, not just food, drove me to joining the USAF at 17, after graduating high school early. I went on to the spend the next 10 years of life traveling the globe in support of various missions and war efforts. In my down time, I ventured out into the unknown and down the narrowest of side alleys in search of local delicacies and unique eats. I quickly developed a passion for the food and culture of all the people and places I could meet and travel.

 

Not only did I make some everlasting friends and build a widespread cookbook of knowledge, but I found a purpose, a hobby of sorts, in recreating various global meals in the comfort of my own home. Of course, with some failures along the way, I quickly began to develop new flavors and takes on traditional foods. Call it fusion or call it pure genius, my friends and family seemed to enjoy every last bite till their plates were clean. I found myself watching cooking shows on tv and searching the web for new techniques and styles to further develop my own palate and food database. This newfound passion is what led to the creation of this site. So please, be my guest and try some of my ideas in your own home!
