Before we start cooking the Garlic Butter Rice, the first thing you want to do is to make some crispy garlic chips, a topping for the rice and just about anything else you want to add a little tasty crunchy bite! Heat some neutral flavored oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. While it is coming up to temperature, thinly slice several garlic cloves lengthwise. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced garlic and saute for 2 or 3 minutes until it browns and becomes crispy. Strain the crispy garlic chips from the oil and finish drying them out on a paper towel. Set them aside for now, and try to refrain from snacking on them till it's time to plate up the Garlic Butter Rice! We are going to continue using this same saucepan so discard any excess oil and move on to the next step.

Melt a couple tablespoons of butter in the saucepan. Add the minced garlic and saute for a minute or so, until fragrant and the garlic has infused it's glorious flavor into the butter.

Once the butter is packed with garlicky goodness, add the rice and stir to coat all the individual grains. Pour in the chicken stock, cover with a lid, and bring it up to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce the temperature to Medium-Low and continue to simmer the rice for 12 to 15 minutes, until all the liquids have been absorbed.

Once all the liquids have been absorbed into the rice, remove the saucepan from the heat and allow to cool and rest for 10 minutes. Afterwards, fluff the rice with a fork and add a couple more tablespoons of butter along with some sliced green onions. Give it a quick taste and season with any salt and/or white pepper as desired. When plating, don't forget those crispy garlic chips we made earlier! They not only complete the side dish, but add that extra bit of crispy bite to this Garlic Butter Rice that sets it apart from other wannabe versions! Otherwise, that pretty much wraps up this simple, yet delicious side dish that will elevate your next meal from drab to fab so don't forget this easy Garlic Butter Rice recipe next time you find yourself in the kitchen trying to plan a meal....Just Keep Cooking!
