Garlic Parmesan Air Fryer Asparagus

Looking for a quick and easy recipe for a healthy weekday dinner side dish? Nothing says delicious more so than garlic and parmesan asparagus that will go with just about any meal! Take your plain asparagus from dull and raw to dinner plate deliciousness in under 15 minutes with this simple Air Fryer recipe! It can be made year round, but is especially perfect for that late spring/early summer asparagus growing rampant in your garden. Whether you are using those perfectly formed, long stalks of asparagus from the grocery store or the little bits and pieces from your garden, begin by snapping off the bottom, woody part of each stalk. Simply grab each stalk and let them naturally break where the tasty, more edible portion of the asparagus divides from that hard, woody root base no one really enjoys. It takes a couple minutes to get through your bunch, but it is worth it in the long run to not end up chewing on sticks like some sort of domesticated, house-trained billy goat! Toss your prepared asparagus into a tray or bowl for seasoning and we will move on to the next step.



Drizzle some olive oil over the asparagus and toss everything around to get it all coated. Now sprinkle the garlic and parmesan over the entire batch and finish with a little salt and pepper. I put down some generic amounts on the recipe card, but feel free to go hog wild and really throw in some flavor. Get your hands in there and make sure each asparagus stalk is fully seasoned and ready for cooking!



Preheat your Air Fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. You can pan sauté or grill this asparagus, but like the recipe title says, today we are Air Frying it for simplicity sake! Toss in your asparagus and let it cook for about 4 minutes. Quickly give everything a shake and toss, then let it finish cooking for an additional 4 minutes. I personally dislike mushy asparagus so I think 8 minutes is plenty sufficient, but check it for yourself and let it cook another minute or 2 if it still feels too stiff for your liking.



And just like that, in under 15 minutes, you have made a delicious side dish that can be paired with almost any meal! As usual, plenty of options to change up the seasoning and flavors on this recipe.
